I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience in both NHS and private practice.
Many of the people I see are functioning on the surface—working, managing family life—but struggling underneath with anxiety, poor sleep, alcohol use, or a general sense that something is not quite right.
These difficulties are often not immediately visible, but they can have a significant impact over time.
My approach is careful and structured. I focus on developing a clear understanding of what is going on, rather than moving too quickly to a diagnosis or treatment.
This involves:

- Psychological understanding
- Medication where it is helpful
The aim is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to clarify the underlying patterns and to develop a practical way forward.

As a Private Consultant Psychiatrist I specialise in the assessment and treatment of all Alcohol Use Disorders including Alcoholism, Alcohol Dependence, Binge Drinking and heavy social drinking

Alcohol Home Detox
As a Private Consultant Psychiatrist I offer Alcohol Home Detox throughout Warwick, Coventry, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and thw wider Midllands
- A safe way to detox at home
- Detox medication is taken 4x daily to prevent unpleasant alcohol withdrawal symptoms
- The detox lasts 7-8 days
- Home Alcohol Detox can usually start within a week
- Therapy with experienced addiction therapist (Gail or Matt)
- Post-detox follow-up
- Antabuse may be an option (this is expensive)

Should you require an in-patient admission I can offer advice on local and national centres providing detox and rehab

Other rehabs I know and would recommend. I do not have any formal professional links with these rehabs and I do not receive any benefit (financial or otherwise) when I refer patients
