About me

I am a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 25 years of experience in both NHS and private practice.

Many of the people I see are functioning on the surface — working, managing family life — but struggling underneath with anxiety, poor sleep, alcohol use, or a sense that something isn’t right.

My approach is careful and structured. I combine diagnosis, psychological understanding, and       medication where helpful.

Alcohol Use Disorders

 

As a Private Consultant Psychiatrist I specialise in the assessment and treatment of all Alcohol Use Disorders including Alcoholism, Alcohol Dependence, Binge Drinking and heavy social drinking

Alcohol Home Detox

As a Private Consultant Psychiatrist I offer Alcohol Home Detox  throughout Warwick, Coventry, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and thw wider Midllands

  • A safe way to detox at home
  • Detox medication is taken 4x daily to prevent unpleasant alcohol withdrawal symptoms
  • The detox lasts 7-8 days
  • Home Alcohol Detox can usually start within a week
  • Therapy with experienced addiction therapist (Gail or Matt)
  • Post-detox follow-up
  • Antabuse may be an option (this is expensive)

Should you require an in-patient admission I can offer advice on local and national centres providing detox and rehab

Other rehabs I know and would recommend. I do not have any formal professional links with these rehabs and I do not receive any benefit (financial or otherwise) when I refer patients
